The line was cut into pieces under New Haven management and the Griffin line only saw limited use under Penn Central and Conrail. In the Mid 1990’s, the now state-owned track got a new lease on life when a building supply chain built a regional warehouse adjacent to the tracks of the dormant line in Bloomfield, just north of Hartford.
